New Businesses Set to Open This Spring On Bald Head Island

The off-season on Bald Head Island has seen a flurry of activity with new businesses getting ready to open in the middle of the island on Maritime Way.

The Esplanade will be home to four new island businesses each with different offerings. Bald Head Bottle, Salty Paws, BHI Academy and Monkee’s will reside in the new commercial building in the heart of retail space just down from the Maritime Market. Watch for the doors of these new businesses to open this spring.

Bald Head Bottle

Bald Head Island Academy

Bald Head Island Academy offers preservation-focused lifelong learning in K-8 scholars. The first school on the island, BHI Academy will provide students with an on-island education, emphasizing earth sciences and maritime ecosystems.
