Where to Eat on Bald Head Island

One of the best things about vacation is all the great food you get to eat. Bald Head Island has amazing scenery, beautiful beaches, and tons to do. But what is there to eat on the island? We’re going to give a rundown on some of the most popular spots so you can plan where to go on your next Bald Head Island vacation

Maritime Market will be your one-stop-shop for groceries and goodies to bring back to your rental. You can also check out the café that’s open for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast will cover everything from eggs and bacon to pancakes and bagels. For lunch, grab a wrap or build your own hot dog. They even have a great Cuban Panini! You can order Family Meals from Maritime Market 24 hours in advance to enjoy popular dishes like lasagna, BBQ pork, and chicken pot pie without spending hours in the kitchen.

Jules' Salty Grub is where you can get some tasty wings, BBQ sliders, shrimp & grits, oysters, and peel & eat shrimp – to name just a few things from the menu. Their motto is “Good Food, Good People, Good Times” so you know it’s a great place to hang out! Jules’ is open every day but Monday.

Delphina Coastal Cuisine has a little of everything from burgers and pizzas to tacos and burrito bowls. Enjoy favorites Signature Mahi tacos with blackened Mahi and mango pico de gallo or the Ranchero Quesadilla with marinated sirloin, mushrooms and black beans. Or you can order a specialty pizza of your liking to-go. Delphina is open Wednesday through Monday and on Tuesdays for to-go pizza orders.

Mike’s Bites is located at the Bald Head Island Conservancy campus and is a favorite spot for cold treats. Along with hot dogs and sandwiches, kids love stopping by for Italian Ice. After a day at the beach and swimming to work up an appetite, stop by Mike’s to grab some snacks or cool off with a frozen treat.

Sandpiper Coffee and Ice Cream opens every morning at 8am and is located in the Marina District. Enjoy a custom coffee with all your favorite flavors or spring for a Java Shake. They also have chai lattes, hot cocoa, and a great selection of smoothies to choose from. They bake fresh pastries daily and have hot breakfast from Delphina’s on select days. You can also get milkshakes and ice cream in a waffle cone when it’s time to cool off.

Vacation is a time to treat yourself so don’t hold back when it comes to the great eats! Plan some hikes or walk the beach if you’re worried about the extra calories. Whether it’s fine dining, ice cream on the go, or meal delivery, the best part will be the unmatched scenery of Bald Head Island. Add some of these spots to your itinerary and enjoy the best of the island!
