Since our beloved pets are often treated just like family, you might be wondering if you should bring them with you. We say YES! You should bring your extended family (aka your dog) to Bald Head Island because we are all pet-friendly here.

Since there are no vehicles on the island, only golf carts and bicycles, taking your pup for leisurely walks will be an exciting sight-seeing event. There are 14 miles of pristine beaches as well as the marshes and hiking trails to explore together. Just remember to always keep your buddy on a leash so he doesn’t get away from you.

No need to worry about where to stay since Bald Head Island has a number of pet-friendly homes available to accommodate you. Upon arrival, your four-legged friend will even receive a special gift box that includes treats and a toy! For smaller groups, you can book Charlotte's Place which sleeps 8 and has an ocean view. For bigger parties around 8 to 10 people, check out Laurie’s Loft or SeaWinds which each feature a loft or crofter for extra space. If you are traveling with over 10 people, we have you covered as well. Roger That! and Sea Star both sleep 12 and have beautiful views of the beach.
