One of our favorite ways to explore is taking a kayak through the creeks. You can rent a kayak or canoe from The Sail Shop and take a nice glide through the island creeks either alone or by tour.

Stand-up Paddleboarding is a popular pastime on the water. Work on your balancing skills by standing on the oversized boards and paddling around looking for marine life. The best spot for big waves is on East Beach where visitors love to surf. Leave your own boards at home and pick up some from the Sail Shop for the day.

There are plenty of areas for hiking and biking if you want to spend the day outside and get moving. Bluff Island Hike is a fun way to have an adventure with your crew. Take a kayak or skiff to Bluff Island and there you can explore while getting amazing views on Cape Creek.

After a day of exploring, you can go kick back at your Bald Head Island vacation rental and take the night off. Grill out on your deck or have drinks watching the sunset. Gather everyone to the family room for a favorite movie. Whether you’re relaxing or looking for thrills, you’re sure to have the best time on Bald Head Island with people you love.
