Labor Day Weekend Happenings on Bald Head Island
Labor Day marks the end of summer. The last chance for backyard barbeques and lazy beach days before fall. A perfect time to book that last minute summer vacation and celebrate the end of the season in a Vacation Rental on Bald Head Island. Here’s some of our favorite ways that Bald Head Island will celebrate the end of summer!
Explore the wonderful outdoors with activities planned throughout the Labor Day Weekend. From Kayak Safaris to Sunset Sailings, Annual Side Walk Sales to Island-Wide Open Houses and Adult Karaoke to Rock the Dock Concerts, there is something for everyone. We especially love the cookouts!
Farewell to Summer Labor Day Cookout will take place on Saturday, September 1st, from 12:00-3:00pm. Head to Island Passage, 14 Maritime Way to enjoy delicious food, drinks and live music by Dave’s Not Home. Sunday, September 2nd at 5:00pm Maritime Market Forest Pavilion will host Labor Day Side Porch Oyster Roast. Enjoy the music of Mark Daffer along with Chef Marc’s famous steamed oysters, steamed Old Bay shrimp, pulled pork barbecue, roasted chicken and a slew of sides.
Don’t forget the pool parties! On Saturday, September 1st, from 5:00 to 8:00pm, join the Bald Head Island Club for “Last Blast” pool party. Enjoy pool games, swimming relays, cornhole tournaments, balloon animal making and much more! This pool party is Hawaiian themed so put on those grass skirts and leis to compete in the best dressed contest.
Put on your swimsuit and head to the Shoals Club pool on Sunday, September 2nd. From 12:00 to 4:00, Captain Gulliver throws a lively pool party! Enjoy pool games with tons of prizes for all ages as well as music from DJ Tom.
Soon we will be saying farewell to summer. For now, let’s celebrate the season with a weekend full of family and fun. Visit Bald Head Island for a long Labor Day Weekend!
