Bald Head Island is the ideal place to take a break with gorgeous scenery and plenty to do and explore. While some people love to take a break from a vigorous workout routine they’re used to, others love to include some healthy habits and exercise on their trip. If you’re looking to come back from your vacation rejuvenated, adding some exercise to your itinerary will be good for you! Along with giving you energy, exercise is known to help reduce stress, help you sleep better, and release endorphins which will make you even happier on your Bald Head Island vacation. Here are some tips on how you can get moving while you’re on the island.

Since there are no cars on Bald Head Island, you’ll get a chance to do plenty of walking. Life gets so busy, it’s good for you to slow down and smell the roses. The scenery is stunning around Bald Head Island and there’s something for the whole family to enjoy. There are also hiking trails though the Maritime Forests to explore. Look for unique vegetation and wildlife while burning some calories in a fun way.

Bicycles are available to rent and are a great way to see the whole island. Take a scenic ride around or skip the golf cart and ride to Maritime Market. Get your crew together and rent a tandem bike or one with a kid’s cart. The air blowing in your hair while cruising around town will take all your worries away and it will be hard to leave.

Paddleboarding is a good way to sightsee while also strengthening your core and balance. A nice trip along the creek is relaxing and peaceful. You can also rent a kayak and get your arms working to take you around the marshes for a great view only available from the water. 

Yoga is a popular way to wind down and clear your mind. You can wake up with the sunrise and bring a mat to the beach for a yoga session. Bald Head Island offers miles of gorgeous beaches and you’ll no doubt want to spend much of your time there.
