Five Ways to Rock Your Bald Head Island Super Bowl Party
It’s down to the final four and in two weeks two teams are going to the Super Bowl. You’ve experienced a season full of tears and shouts of joy, burning jerseys and boasting fantasy belts, all for this very moment. A moment that cannot be appreciated on anything smaller than a 50 inch. That’s why our number one recommendation to a Rockin’ Super Bowl Party is….
#1 A Big Television. Hey, you’re not at the game so it’s important to feel like you are. Catching every play is imperative not to mention those hilarious Super Bowl commercials.
#2 Comfy and adequate seating. Other than jumping up to yell at the ref or cheer for a touchdown your guests will be attached to whatever seating you provide for a good 3 plus hours. Forget borrowing folding chairs, get some bean bags or big pillows to throw around the room for extra seating. Arrange furniture so everyone has a good view of the game.
#3 Beer & Beverages. Football and beer go hand in hand. You can’t have one without the other. Have a variety of cold beer on hand as well as wine, or a specialty cocktail. It’s a good idea to have a few non-alcoholic beverages on hand for those who don’t drink. Here’s a recipe of one of our favorite Super Bowl cocktails. Football Fashion Hurricane: Fill a shaker and highball glasses with ice. Add 4 ounces of fresh squeezed orange juice, 2 ounces of agave nectar, 2 ounces of dark rum, 1 ounce of light rum, 1 ounce of orange liqueur and 6 dashes of bitters. Shake it and then pour into highball glasses. Garnish with orange slices.
#4 Food, Food and More Food! Serve a variety of foods that entice everyone’s taste buds. Go for foods that are easy to eat with your fingers like chicken wings, sandwiches, chips & dips and pizza. Make sure to have PLENTY of food. Your guest will eat before, during and after the game so set up a banquet table to the side and let your guest go at it!
#5 Team Spirit. It’s the Super Bowl! Whether your team made it or not, pick a team and cheer to the finish. Our favorite team spirit tradition is bringing a dish that is popular in the city of the opposing team and eating it to signify devouring them during the game. Sounds intense but is all in good fun, not to mention delicious! Jerseys and team décor will work as well.
The Super Bowl is always an exciting time of year. Spend it with family and friends in a cozy Bald Head Island beach vacation rental! May the best team win!!!
