Labor Day Fun on Bald Head Island

The end of summer is approaching. It seems to fly by faster and faster each year. Before you start mourning the end of this cherished season, how about one last summer fling during Labor Day weekend!

You have three days to enjoy the end of summer. What better way to do it than on the beautiful beaches of Bald Head Island! The forecast is clear to sunny skies with temperatures in the low 80’s during the day and low 70’s at night making it the perfect beach day. Blend that with a variety of weekend events and you have the perfect mix for a Labor Day weekend getaway! 

The celebration starts on Friday, September 1st with a gathering around the Fire Pit. Meet at sunset behind the Clubhouse and cozy up to the fire with complimentary appetizers, live music and fun! Enjoying an evening under the stars is a great way to commemorate the final days of summer. 

If you’re not relaxing on the beach Saturday, September 2nd, you just might be enjoying some friendly competition playing flag football at 11am or participating in the scavenger hunt at 1pm. Both events take place at the Shoals Club. Sunday, September 3rd from 12-4pm a Labor Day Pool Party is planned with fun games and prizes that are sure to make a splash!  

Monday, September 4th at 9am, run for fun and a medal of course! This Labor Day Fun Run is one mile and will get your day started on the right track. Spend the day on the beach, explore the forest or enjoy a game of golf before the big celebration begins!

The Grille and Palms Terraces has a big shindig planned from 5-8pm, Labor Day Family Cook Out. Chow down on your favorite grilled summertime food selections along with craft beer, live music and family fun. It’s a farewell to summer celebration! 

There’s still a few days of summer left. Let’s make them count, creating beautiful memories on Bald Head Island!
