Southern Living on Bald Head Island
We all know that Bald Head Island is one of the great beach
destinations in the South, and today we can announce that we have received
quite a distinctive honor. Southern
Living, the classic taste making magazine of the South—has partnered with Bald Head Island Limited, LLC, to build the first new neighborhood on the Island in more than five years. The Southern
Living Inspired Community at Cape Fear Station will be a collection of
charming Southern homes right across from The Commons, nestled in among the trees
and dunes, only steps away from the beach.
And we couldn’t be happier to go ahead and welcome our new neighbors.
As of Friday, April 3, 2015, homes in the Inspired Community
will go on sale through Bald Head Island Limited Real Estate Sales. According
to Jeff Leonard, Sales Director with BHIL Real Estate Sales, the first model
home is expected to be open for tours by late summer or early fall. In the
meantime, though, details on the community
and homes,
including a floor plan, are available online, by clicking the links, or by
stopping in the Harbourside Real Estate Sales office and picking up
information.
Kristen Bryan, Associate Director Marketing for Southern Living, said the magazine’s editors “hand picked” Cape Fear Station on Bald Head Island, and said the community “joins a small collection of elite developments awarded the Southern Living Inspired Communities designation, characterized by charm, taste and Southern spirit.”
To keep with that “Southern spirit,” homes within the Inspired Community capture the best of Southern architecture, with gracious porches, abundant windows, high ceilings and sleeping porches. And the interiors receive the same attention; in fact, the homes come fully furnished.
But perhaps most importantly, the Inspired Community will be built in harmony with the landscape, respecting the natural topography and existing trees and providing these new homeowners and their guests with a beautiful base for exploring Bald Head Island.
