Memorial Day on Bald Head Island Kicks Off Summer Fun

Everyone loves Memorial Day - the official start of summer and a reason to kick back and enjoy time with friends and family. On Bald Head Island, we love Memorial Day too, and we're celebrating with fun events and activities all weekend long. 

Outdoor enthusiasts will love the island nature tour, kayak trips through the marsh and an Ibis Sanctuary exploration. A half day golf school and two races will keep fitness buffs active. For the kids, touch tank time, reptile round up and crabbing and cast netting programs with the BHI Conservancy are sure to please. Just want to take it easy? Check out the Smith Island Art League and BHI Artisans show and sale, or come to a wine tasting. And don't miss the innaugural Sunset Celebration on Sunday night - fun for the whole family!
