Howl at the Moon this Saturday
If you’ve been on Bald Head Island this summer and heard howling at a full moon–don’t fret–it’s just islanders gathering together for an evening of fun and celebrating the full moon.
This Saturday, August 13, join The Island Agency, The Hammocks and the Bald Head Island Conservancy as they sponsor the August Howl at the Moon party hosted by the Maritime Market.
The monthly event has been drawing record crowds out to East Beach. This month, Chef Greg is cooking two huge pots of soup – a Manhattan Clam Chowder and a summer vegetable soup with fresh ingredients from the local gardens as well as chef appetizers, all at no charge. Guests are encouraged to bring appetizers and their own beverage, or you can buy some beer and wine at the event. The Island Agency sales executives will be on hand to answer any questions about island real estate.
If you are on Bald Head this weekend, be sure to head out to East Beach access #39 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for an evening of fun and a bit of howling.
